My wife developed dementia after a stroke. She changed her health proxy. I'm having barriers . Can a spouse regain health care proxy if patient was incompetent without guardianship? Thanls
What reason does she give for changing her proxy? What "barriers" are there now? FYI if you've been married 50 years then it may not be a bad idea that someone younger than yourself will still be alive, willing and able to be her proxy.
So your argument is that when your wife changed her health proxy she was not mentally fit to do that, is that right? If so, the original health proxy should stand. Whom did she appoint instead, and how are you getting on with that person?
