What reason does she give for changing her proxy? What "barriers" are there now? FYI if you've been married 50 years then it may not be a bad idea that someone younger than yourself will still be alive, willing and able to be her proxy.

The stroke probably caused her dementia. Its not reversible. The stroke probably caused brain damage.

So your argument is that when your wife changed her health proxy she was not mentally fit to do that, is that right? If so, the original health proxy should stand. Whom did she appoint instead, and how are you getting on with that person?

She appointed our sons.
I just read a long post on showtimers
My wife can be very normal" to others.
I was so glad to read others experience dual personalities with dem
Im going to show them
I find it hard her md ie fooled also
I like the post who doesn't care if others dont believe there is a problem
Many in my family still cant accept I have pd for 12 years
They also dont believe in my wifes dem

What I have to do is strengthen my nerves to handle this
Have you ever heard of Dr.Abraham Low?
Grest source for peace of mind.

We been married 50+ yrs.not sure whether someone else talked her into or false beliefs.
Im fighting for her nut she sees me as what's wrong.
When she was sick I had to fight hard.i am now trying to find out what is causing her dm.

If she changed the health care proxy after being diagnosed the change is not valid.
There is not much information in your profile. Is this a second marriage? Is the "new" health care proxy a child from a previous marriage?
You might have to obtain Guardianship.
You might also want to provide a bit more detail so you can get better answers.
