My fathers allowed his girlfriend to move into his trailer. But soon after my dad got Covid he stayed in the hospital until he needed and then he was sent home but while he was in the hospital he was Diagnosed with Dementia. He returns home and his girlfriend was take taking care of him . I was there was an incident that the police were called and people there were aides coming in to his trailer and giving him therapy their other ones who saw there was a problem between my father and his girlfriend they removed my father from his trailer and sent him to a nursing home because of what my father told them and what they witnessed. I visited my dad in the nursing home and the social worker asked who was the oldest I’m she started the process of guardianship . I filled paperwork with the court. I asked for bank and titles to take to court. She now claims it took my dad stuff. None of the things she me were hers. I did ask for certain things she was offering my dads things to my kids. When I came to pick up paperwork she gave things to my son that was my dads. Now my dad thinks I came in to his house and just took his stuff. I asked her for certain things. My dad lives in Indiana but he is in nursing home in Cincinnati. I live in Chicago. My question is will I get in any trouble because of her lies? My father been declared Incompetent not able to take care of his affairs.
All the belongings that are your fathers you can rightfully remove.
I suggest that if she is in fact still living there you ask her to leave. If she refuses to leave you go to court and ask for an eviction. Might be easier if you contact the lawyer that was/is handling the Guardianship as that might be part of the process since it belongs to your dad. Most likely he will not be returning to the trailer and it can be cleaned out (by you) and sold and the assets added to his accounts to help pay for his care.
