My wife developed dementia after a stroke. She changed her health proxy.
I'm having barriers .
Can a spouse regain health care proxy if patient was incompetent without guardianship?

What reason does she give for changing her proxy? What "barriers" are there now? FYI if you've been married 50 years then it may not be a bad idea that someone younger than yourself will still be alive, willing and able to be her proxy.

The stroke probably caused her dementia. Its not reversible. The stroke probably caused brain damage.

So your argument is that when your wife changed her health proxy she was not mentally fit to do that, is that right? If so, the original health proxy should stand. Whom did she appoint instead, and how are you getting on with that person?

If she changed the health care proxy after being diagnosed the change is not valid.
There is not much information in your profile. Is this a second marriage? Is the "new" health care proxy a child from a previous marriage?
You might have to obtain Guardianship.
You might also want to provide a bit more detail so you can get better answers.
