What is a daughter to do when she really needs a geriatrician or a geriatric psychologist and there is no one within 150 miles?

My dad has appointments with his geriatric psychiatrist via zoom. She had an office here in town before covid but gave it up when everything closed. The Zoom appointments are working well.

For her Dementia she needs a Neurologist. Not sure what a psychologist can do. Ask around and see if there is a GP that is exceptionally good with Senior citizens that suffer from Dementia. Even though Moms PCP was not good for us (he ignored my DHs problem in hearing) he was very good with my Moms generation and sympathetic to their Dementia. They loved him.

If there is no one local, perhaps one of the regular doctors kind of specializes in elder care? Ask around.

Many will consult via zoom.
