Where can we get vaccines? It's impossible to even get on a website to get on a list. Has anyone had any luck or new information?

Who has the vaccines?, How do you get on a list without staying up all night? Why is this so disorganized and secretive?

My doctor's office has notified us about the dates to sign up. Ohio has a Covid site but it has been overloaded so I am relying on the dr for info and scheduling.

Good Luck since ur in NJ. Salem County only got 100 shots recently. In one Township there are 2 Nursing homes. 2 more in the surrounding towns. Call your County Health Department. Maybe even your Township Medical or Emergency Management officer.

If you r on Facebook, see if your County Health Department has a page and "follow" it. Mine posts the places where it will be given.

Do you not have health insurance? I do and have been receiving continuous updates and invitations to get the vaccine when it's 'my turn' without any 'disorganization' or 'secrecy' involved at all.

Call your doctor or your health insurance provider, that would be the first step.

My sister was just able to get an appointment for my father’s first vaccine through the Sutter Health website. She did have to be on hold for a while to receive an activation code needed to create a login for Sutter Health. From the website she was then able to make an appointment for a vaccine for next week. FYI in case helpful for anyone.

Note that we first tried to get the vaccine through Dignity Health (my dad‘s PCP) and Stanford (dad‘s neurologist) but they were either not available at all or not available till March apparently. Dad was a pre-existing patient at Sutter Health for urgent care type stuff and did have a patient ID number with them already.

There was absolutely no helpful information at all on our county website for San Mateo county, California

I hesitated to write my Doctor's office believing that they would be inundated, but as it turned out, for me, that was the answer. A friend told me to write my Kaiser doctor as that was how she got in. I told her that I am getting constant computer updates from Kaiser telling me that they will supply info when they have it. Finally took her advise, got a form letter back that started "We are so glad you want to take the vaccine" and gave me a number. True enough we had to wait 2 1/2 hours on the phone with it sitting on the charger, but we are in for an appointment on the 28 for 1st shot. California is now "anyone over 65" so we have an appointment and I think the secret here was the email to the doctor office, as in squeaky wheels getting the oil. My daughter got her shot, ALSO from Kaiser which she is NOT a member of, as a teacher in Washington State on Saturday. Say she and some others were so thrilled they were crying. No side effects for her. She said the shingles vac was more difficult than this one.
There are apparently 30 million availiable only 12 million given but now, knowing they were lied to about reserves, all entities are afraid for that needed second shot supply until new supplies arrive. New administration plans to institute to emergency acts to mandate production; we can hope that helps. In San Francisco our Mayor has Identified three sites for mass injections, but says doesn't have the supply yet. Hang on and know it's here. We have been dealing since March. Keep trying everything you can think of. The assisted living where my bro was has vaccinated all in So. Cal town. On we go.

One of the ladies in our local support group said that she left a message on the local Health Departments voicemail, and received a call back in 5 days, telling her to come in with her husband that day to receive the shot, which she did. She was surprised that that was all it took.

In Florida most counties have drive up vaccinations through their Publix stores. Very easy and convenient.
Duval and Nassau do not have doses yet but scheduling is online though the Publix websites.
Good Luck!
