How can I get my dad in to the ER or doctor?

He had a covid test it was negative but they say copd, asthma, but the last few days hes constantly struggling, wheezing, out of breath and waking up in a panic having a hard time breathing. He refuses to go in, he signed something for POA I think a while ago since he came to be with us but I honestly don't think he can keep on like this. How can I get him in to the ER or doctor?

For ER..call 911 or whatever the emergency number is in your area.
Getting him to the doctor..either you take him or you can call a medical transport company and they will transport him.
If he is having problems breathing you call emergency number.
Don't be hesitant to call because of COVID19 if it is an emergency then you have to call.
You can buy a pulse oximeter that you can use at home and keep track of oxygen levels. You can contact the doctor and ask at what point should you bring him in to the office or into the ER and do your own monitoring.

Please call 911; there are so many ways that this can be made better. If nothing else, the EMTs can give him oxygen on the spot, which may help him think a bit more rationally and explain what he wants and doesn't want.

And please come back and let us know how he AND you are doing! We care.

Asthma is nothing to fool with. When he is struggling to breathe call 911, let the EMTs deal with his resistance to go to the ER.

Tell him that maybe oxygen will help him feel better and that he needs a prescription to get it - reassure him that you won't have him admitted of sent to a facility.
