How to increase my income to cover medication costs?

I am continuously upside down financially. My medicines cost 600 dollars more than my income. I need to find a way to make a thousand dollars a month working from home.

I would talk to your doctor concerning your meds. Do you really need all of them. I found Mom was on a heart med she no longer needed because the problem causing her fast heart rate had been corrected. Because she was on a Thyroid med that can effect the liver, she was taken off her Cholesterol med. Sometimes hospitals add meds while your in, that aren't needed once you have recovered.

Have you checked Walmart's list of discount meds? If your income is low, maybe the State has a prescription plan you can sign up for. Medicaid too has health insurance with prescription plans provided.

Have you contacted the pharma companies that make your medications? Often they have programs to provide your meds at a reduced cost, or sometimes will give a free prescription now and then. It's not a permanent solution. Without knowing your age or living conditions (like do you live in an apartment in an urban area where there are lots of people? Or in a rural area in a house by yourself? Are you fully mobile? Do you own a car?) I had this same issue with my MIL after she broke her back. There are customer service jobs that people can do from their homes but you'd probably need a laptop. If you have a decent washer/dryer/iron maybe you can have an in-home laundry service; would you consider dog/cat sitting? They get $20-$25 per day per dog where I live (advertise on Rover.com, nextdoor.com or craigslist) and if you can offer it cheaper than that you'd have some clients (only do small dogs); babysitting (not child care) advertise on Care.com...I hope you can find something that works for you!

Are you a senior?   Have you looked into whether you qualify for Medicaid?

well when you find one please let the rest of us in on the secret.
(I am guessing you are talking about legal ways correct?)

Contact the Senior Services in your area and explain the situation, while there may not be a way to make $1000.00 a month some other expenses might be lowered so that there is not as much of a gap.
