When to call hospice in?

My husband has dementia, for the last 3 days he hasn't had an appetite, he has eaten very little, he is not wanting to get a shower or undress, he is saying I'm hurting him when I'm not at all, he has gotten worse in just 3 days, from what I've read he seems to be in the 6th stage.

They will come in and evaluate them, no worries, they take care of you too.YOU are his backbone at this point, you need to be taken care of too.

If they feel it's not the right time, they will tell you, and perha[s palliative care mau be a good solutions.

Trust them, Get DNR in order, etc

Have him checked for UTI, the sudden symptoms could be an infection and will only get worse, life threatening if left untreated.

Yes, it may be time to call in Hospice. You can also call a couple of Hospice organizations and have them come out to meet with you. I believe they can get the info they need and determine if he will qualify for hospice. It's free for them to come out and go over everything with you and coordinate a doctor's evaluation, medical equipment he may need, etc.

Oh, Penny, how sad!

Have you called his doctor and asked for advice? His doctor would be the logical person to ask for a hospice evaluation, yes?
