What to do with 63-year-old spouse whose Lewy body dementia is rapidly increasing ahead of Parkinson's? We need proper access to care.

There is a section on younger onset and multifactorial dementias, so it looks like they cover all the bases. What support are you getting from your family doctor and local health services? Are you in town or a rural area?

We are in suburbs of Melbourne but the Movement Disorder Clinic suggested a psych who has now backed out of taking my husband on as he has realised that it is a real Dementia and not just high anxiety and depression. His GP is great and we recently put in application to NDIS but he needs a proper assessment before he can be assessed for services under the Aged Care Act and then have proper care. Ringing NDIS tomorrow and will talk to GP again re new psych and admission in private mental health facility for observation
