How hard is it to get approved for Medicaid in Texas?

Mom is almost 88. Does not own anything, gets $1250 month SS. She lives with me full time. She is in late stages and it is so bad. I just retired and I honestly don't think I can do this all day, day in and day out. I have been doing it for 2 years and she is just getting worse by the day. Just went thru hospital stay of 3 days b/c of being severely constipated and blockage. She can't remember if she ate, can't dress herself, hard time to get up and down. hospital advocate says hard to get them approved. I am tired and just can't do it anymore. Had a part time caretaker but she retired. Also my husband is tired of having someone in our home all the time, which I get that too.

Next time she is hospitalized - refuse to take her home indicating you can no longer care for her and it would not be safe for her to be in your home (be firm about this). The social worker will have to find placement for her.
