Am I eligible for dual coverage?

I am a breast cancer patient in Utah. The Utah Cancer Society told me that I would be able to continue with my Medicaid until I was done with my cancer treatment even if I pick up Medicare. I meet all of the requirement to have Medicaid. I am getting different answers from different people. Which is the right answer?
