The nursing home will not give my wife therapy to help her stand up because Medicaid has not been approved yet. Any suggestions?

If she has Medicare I see no problem unless she has had therapy recently. There is a certain amount of time that has to go by before Medicare will pay again. Maybe your wife has hit her plateau and this is as far as she can go. Maybe they are waiting for Medicaid to kick in.

I'm not that familiar with nursing homes, but, don't they need a doctor's order to provide physical therapy? Doesn't she have Medicare?
