Can a sibling who has POA deny the remaining siblings from receiving health information from the Nurse at the hospital he’s in?

I understand why the hospital won't give you info. LO has to put you on a list. If they can't do this thats where the POA comes in. I feel the POA not sharing info with a sibling is a power thing. I kept my brothers in the loop. Yes I made the final decision but I considered their input. Its their Mom too.

Wally’s right. It’s not the POA who determines who can and cannot receive health information. The POA is entitled to information simply by being POA, but the only way anyone else can get information is to be included on the HIPPA form.

the hospital cant share info because of HIPAA rules. are you able to visit your dad? is dad able to give his consent to you receiving his health info?
