Why does Step Dad say "boogie-boggie" instead of a word? He does not have dementia or ALZ. Anyone have something similar happening?

This is called aphasia if you want to look that up.

PLEASE get your dad a complete neuropsych work up.

Years ago, my mother started using "and thing" at the end of most sentences. In retrospect, it was the beginning of her cognitive decline. If we'd know this at the time, it would have saved us A LOT of grief and misunderstanding of what was happening.

He needs to be evaluated. He may have some other type of cognitive decline going on.
