My daughter died because hospice nurse did not give her a med she had been on most of her life. Any advice?

She died because she didn't get it.

Did daughter decide on accepting hospice? If so, hospice will stop life prolonging and sustaining medications. Hospice is about keeping the patient comfortable.

Oh SS, my heart and prayers go out to you. I can't think of anything worse then losing a child.

My thought is, why didn't her caregiver give her the needed med.? Hospice nurses only visit once or twice a week. Leaving the caregiver to dispense meds. So I'm not clear on how this is the nurses fault.

I'm not trying to be harsh. I'm just trying to understand what happened as there's so little info.

Hopefully you have some support in getting through this pain. 🌹

SS, I'm so very sorry to hear about your daughter's death. I truly cannot imagine any worse experience for a mother to go through.

Would you like to talk a little more about what happened?
