I have joint bank accounts with my father, can I take the money if he goes into a nursing home?

If you can document that it’s all yours, you can withdraw funds.but who will pay for nursing home? Dad can’t give you money that is his from bank account and expect taxpayers to pick up the difference if you plan for Medicaid to pay for care. Medicaid will find out.
