Go to any thread. Underneath the text of the original post is a link that will either say "+Follow" (if you want to start following) or "+Following" (if you're already following). If you're on the thread you want to stop getting notifications about, click on "+Following"....this takes you to the page that gives you the option to unfollow. (Click "Stop Following" underneath the thread title.)
Alternatively, click on your avatar pic at the top right hand corner of the page. When you get to your profile, you'll see a link on the right that says "Following". Click that to get the list of threads you are following, and the option to unfollow. (Click "Stop Following" underneath the thread title.)
You won't have this option if you started the thread in question. You're in that one for life.
