Let's take a break from the stress!

Assuming most of us are the "sandwich generation " this should be fun!

What, in your opinion is the worst 70's song?

I'll start.

Muskrat Love!

Sorry, breaking the rules. I loved anything Kenny Rogers. He has left too soon. RIP.

The Gambler a long time favorite, can't help but sing along.

Concentrating on positives.

"Somewhere in the darkness,
the gambler,
he broke even."

A few weeks ago, I asked nurse niece if she ever heard this song that I like called: They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaaa!.... She said no. I played it from my Kindle's playlist under Oldies. Her facial expression! When it was done, she just stared at me. She said something about the guy sounded crazy, with a mental problem... and 'you like that song?' I gave her a wide smile and nodded. Then I started singing it off-keyed...

P.S... this was one of my go-to songs when caregiving mom and/or dad got to me. Or maybe it was wishful thinking...

What a great song! My Dad will sing it & my DH does too if the occasion gets silly - it never fails to get everyone joing in & laughing even more!

Thankyou for mentioning this one.

Terry Jacks and "Seasons in the Sun." OMG, just awful. "We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun, but the stars we could reach, were just starfish on the beach."

Someone hold my barf bucket.

Oh, and "Havin' My Baby" by Paul Anka. Eeew. "Baby, Baby Don't Get Hooked on Me" by Mac Davis. "My Ding-A-Ling" by Chuck Berry.

Somebody stop me.

Oh God the verse about his DOG! - "goodbye to you, my trusted friend..."

Brings tears to the eyes. Not in a good way.

So many to choose from! But let’s face it - these songs were the soundtrack of our youth.

Leaving the cake out in the rain...
Muskrat Love...
You light up my life...
All good nominees.

How about Minnie Riverton’s “Loving You”? That high note is enough to split an eardrum. But then, that would be merciful in this songs case.

Love to Love You Baby by Donna Summer made me want to puke plus I used to get embarrassed when it came on if I was with a guy what with all the moaning and groaning in it.😖

First I was afraid
Then I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live
Without you by my side....
