This varies by state. There are financial and medical requirements. Home care is by waiver. There are a limited number of waivers available. They generally pay for about 28 hours of care. In some states disabled children have priority so that they can stay home with their families.

This varies by state, and you can check your state's web site for details.

Generally, there are both medical and financial qualifications. A needs assessment would be done to determine how much help is needed. Benefits include things like paying all Medicare co-pays, providing incontinence supplies, paying for adult day care (if qualified), some in-house care, equipment as needed, hearing aids, dental care, and others. Your state may vary.

Call your state's Area Agency on Aging. They can provide detailed information.
