There are support groups funded through Kern County Aging and Adult Services.

These people can also direct you to adult day care services for your wife, often held at a senior center.

Near me (in another county), the senior center houses the adult day care program, the support group meetings, and the department of Aging.

Sandy, you are on one of the best support group websites :) This website is worldwide, so everyone can get suggestions from around the world.

Caregiver burnout is physically and emotionally exhausting, as you well know. You could try to call your local Agency on Aging to see if they have a list of support groups. It's not easy to find one, as most caregivers don't have the time or energy to attend, or have anyone to watch over their love one so that the caregiver could attend :(

In the meantime, here is an excellent article regarding caregiver burnout, plus over 200 comments from on-line caregivers. https://www.agingcare.com/articles/signs-of-caregiver-burnout-149391.htm
