What to do about resident on resident abuse?

My dad has been attacked by other residents 3 times now. Each time seems to be escalating in how bad it is. This last time he was punched in his face while in bed and looks really bad. No one knew what happened and finally his roomate admitted he did it. Supposedly. I never even heard his roommate talk or move in the times I had been there. They are moving his roommate out and keeping them seperate. And they said a report was filed, but I'm concerned now more then I was before because his eye was swollen shut and he looks really bad. I don't know what to do about it.
