Titles that crop up frequently include "The Thirty Six Hour Day" by Nancy Mace, which is "a manual to help people caring for someone with Alzheimer's and related diseases involving mental problems in the elderly"; and Being Mortal by Atul Gawande, which discusses wider quality of life issues (and in my view should be read by everyone over the age of 21, whether or not they are affected by dementia).
But there are dozens. Getting in touch with the Alzheimer's Association, which has all sorts of resources for caregivers, might be a good step too.
My Name is Thelma But I Don't Know Who I Am. By Jan Malone. I haven't yet read this book but I want too. A friend told me about it. I'd be interested to know about any other books also.
