Why isn't there help from the Aging Office in my area ?
My mom is 80 had heart surgery twice. She's prone to leg infections, cellulitis, end stage renal disease. The Monroe County Area of Aging offers nothing zero case workers stink! Yet I know of others who get all kinds of help not us!
Tag, sorry you are not getting the help you need. Each State and each County has their own budgets to offer certain programs. Sadly in some States/Counties, such budgets are getting slashed thus programs are getting eliminated.
Can your Mom qualify for Medicaid [which is different from Medicare]. Your State Medicaid office might have the programs you need. It's worth calling to see what is available and if your Mom could qualify for Medicaid.
