If mom goes to a nursing home, can they legally take all of her checks even if I'm POA?

Mom get 3 checks in state of Oklahoma.

What do yu do to get trust back w ur daughter who has panic attacks after I've ignored her being depressed

Thank yu for helping me understand about this p.o.a. w my mom. Cus she's in like a denial phase cus my sister won't talk to her and Idk what else to do.

She is retired state of Oklahoma and survivers benefits and social security has about 5100 bring home

Bales, residents of nursing homes are expected to pay for the services. In my area, monthly fees are anywhere from $11 - 13,000. Any income up to that amount goes to the nursing home. And available assets are used to make up any shortfall. The POA doesn't have much say in this since the nursing home does have to be paid.

If she is on Medicaid, like Carla said, then yes.

If you're talking about Medicaid, then yes. All income is turned over to reimburse Medicaid for the nursing home bill, other than a small personal allowance each month. If you're not referring to Medicaid, then I have no idea.
