Is there an alternative buttock cushion to relieve pressure?

94 yr old, 100 lbs, sleeps upright. Mom has red patches on cheeks and pain in the tailbone. She has to sleep upright as ... on a feeding tube during the night. She is uncomfortable if we try to bolster her even a little to one side. Have tried foam and sheepskin. Is anyone familiar with Roho cushion or tried gel cushion, or any other suggestion. Her skin is very sensitive.

Mom has developed a stage 1 pressure sore on her tailbone despite being mostly in bed and having an expensive ($500) "blake geomatrix deep hybrid" cushion on her wheelchair. OT has recommended a Roho, but you should be aware that Roho is a brand that includes may different seat cushions varying in price from a couple of hundred dollars to a thousand. If I were you I would consult with an OT to have her fitted with the one they recommend, you should also ask if she is eligible for any gov't programs that can help share the cost.
