Can folks out there tell me what the requirements are in your state for Community Care Foster Family Homes?

Specifically, I am interested in what type of degree or accreditation the Primary caregiver needs to have? What are the minimum qualifications for the secondary and/or substitute caregivers?

Are family members that care for loved ones who require 24/7 assistance with their ADLs, and whose homes for all intensive purposes, function as a CCFFH, able to receive the same compensation, as individuals with homes licensed to operate as a CCFFH?

PA has programs where family members can b trained to care for a loved one and get paid.

MM, every state has different rules for licensing. Not all states operate CCFFH. I can tell you that the majority of states do not pay a family member 24/7 care money. In your state you can research the requirements if you want to operate one. But Medicaid is not going to pay family members prevailing rates for 24/7 care.
