My mother is trying to make us move out of her house but she is unable to care for herself. What steps do we take?

But all the signs are there that she is not able to Care for her self anymore .who can we contact for help. She's not realizing we are there to HELP her. And shes being very hard headed about this .who can we get to evaluate her and help her realize she can not drive anymore and she needs help. We want to keep her at home and us take care of her. We feel she is more comfortable at her home .please help what steps do we take to get help with this problem.?

My first step would be to contact Adult Protective Services in your area and explain the situation to them. They may be able to point you in the right direction. Then find out if you have an agency for the aged in your area that can possibly offer some assistance with respite care (so you can get a break) and possibly also point in you the right direction to help your mom understand the situation. If she has dementia, this is not going to be an easy task - just fair warning.
