Has anyone tried Stem Cell therapy for dementia/Parkinson's?

My dad is in a nursing home with Parkinsons (possible diagnosis), short term memory loss, in a wheel chair but still quite mobile. Has anyone tried Stem Cell Therapy like when they use your own blood or a relatives blood or even core blood from a baby (that's related) for memory/mobility issues and had success?

I also think this is in research.

Go to Michael J. Fox Foundation and search for stem cell for more information.

As far as I know this branch of science is still in the research and clinical trial stage.
