My mom has been waking up with a puffy face. Anyone else experience this?

Mom sleeps on her back. In the morning (actually, more like afternoon lately) when she wakes, her face is very puffy. Almost unrecognizable. Like she has been beaten (but without the decoration). And then, slowly, after she has been up for about 15-20 minutes, it returns to normal. Anyone else experience this?
