One has to remember that only your Dad can make any changes to his Power of Attorney. Is your Dad still capable of doing that? Can he still understand the words in a Power of Attorney? If yes, it would make better sense that you have the POA since he will be living with you. But it's not necessary.
In fact, both you and your sister can be your Dad's Power of Attorney, you can work as equals.... or have it set up that if you are now the POA and are unable in the future to make decisions or want to make decisions for your Dad, then your sister would be second in line to take over the POA.
