VA survivor benefits for my mom.

My mom gets aid and attendance VA survivor benefits of $1149 each month. Is that money taken back out of her checking account when she passes as is the SSN benefit? She is 90 years old and in hospice and I'm trying to prepare in all ways. I know SSN does take the money back but I'm not sure how that works either. Appreciate the help.

Thank Nasmir! I've heard stories where SSN paid the person and then took the money back out of the account. I'm assuming that could happen if the notice of passing crossed with the check downloading into the person's account.
