How do you get your husband to get evaluated for Alzheimer's when he says I like being in a fog?
My friends husband who is 70 is starting to repeat himself. We think he has the start of Alzheimers but he won't go to the doctor. She wants him to start on Aricept to help slow the Alzheimers but he says he likes being in a fog. What should she do
I expect he has always been stubborn and contrary, and that by saying he "likes being in a fog" he really means for her to stop bothering him. Hopefully he does see his doctor occasionally, her best bet is to inform the doctor about her concerns so he can include an evaluation with his normal checkups.
