How do I know what we do is leagal? Sister has been caregiver of mom for 2.5 years her husband died 7months ago now and she wants brother to take mom now to alabama to live,
Sister is telling you she can't do it any more, she is burned out and grieving; please support her in this!! It is up to you and brother to help her figure it out. If mom can't/won't go to brother then where? It may take a lot of phone calls and paperwork but there will be a way to accomplish it, get started.

Does Mom want to go to Alabama with her son?
Who has POA? Does anyone have guardianship?
Is Mom competent to make her own decisions?
Does brother agree to taking Mom in?
Is Mom on Medicaid or any kind of financial aid where she lives now?
