I think I'm depressed after losing my Dad, where do I go when I have no insurance coverage?

I cry, eat, sleep 10 hrs a day, no intrest in activities, don't want to go shopping.i feel I need to visit a dr. and get proper meds but what do I do

Look for Hill Burton hospitals. To the best of my knowledge, they're still required to provide indigent people with medical help.

You might also try to find a depression support group; contact the local hospitals as well as psychiatric/psychological cinics.

Open enrollment ends Jan 31 for coverage to begin Mar 1. I just checked the marketplace to see what could be done. Dorothy, if you qualify for Medicaid, you might want to go directly to your state's Medicaid site if you're in the US. If you qualify and are accepted, insurance will be considered as starting on your day of application if I understand correctly.

Yes, I would immediately go to the Marketplace online and explore health insurance coverage. There are deadlines for doing this. I would not delay. The cost are based on your income. And if you don't have health insurance, you may be charged a fee by the government. I'm not sure how much it is, but it's best to explore your options.

You may also qualify for Medicaid, depending on your income. I don't think there is any cost for that health care coverage.

If you are in the US, the first thing to do is get insurance. Go to www.healthcare.gov and apply. There is help out there for you.

Many hospitals have clinics that are either free or charge on a sliding fee scale. Do a Google search and see if you can find such a clinic near you.

There are also therapists who charge on a sliding fee scale. A family member was in therapy for about 6 months and it was $32/session.
