Visiting my Mom in the nursing home. Advice?

My dear mom is suffering from dementia and is in the last stage. My sister took guardianship from my stepdad and will not them me see her. I took care of my mom for almost 2 years and we had so much fun and memories made. My sister is mad with me for personal and selfish reasons is the only reason. She claims she can have me arrested it I trespass and go to the nursing facility.

Pamstegma gave excellent advice. I'd like to hear what you did and how it's working out. Don't put it off!

Ask about supervised visitation. Contact the facility Ombudsman and ask him or her to work that out. If there is a restraining order against you, see an attorney about getting it lifted. Ask for a "show cause" meaning she has to have evidence that your visit would be disruptive or harmful.
