Betty, could you post back and share your experiences with these organizations, including which ones were helpful, so that others here can be aware of what resources are available?

I thought of another option. Sometime ago I used to post on a DIY Forum. One of the posters stated that his church used to take on projects for people in need. I don't recall what denomination his religion was.

But you might call the United Way Helpline, 211, to see if they have any information on local churches that might have similar programs.

This is just a guess and possibly a wild shot, but if there are any building trades schools or educational programs, perhaps the students might take these repairs on as a class project, under the supervision of their instructor.

And best of luck in finding some help.

I have reached out to several resources since we began chat. Weatherization programs, HUD, & USDA, all of these have been good resources. Once I began others began to give other resources. So the morning was prosperous. Thanks.

Great one. Now this I will do in a sec. I forgot this one, like Christmas in July. Thanks

Contact your local community and ask if they have HUD funds for emergency repairs.

Christmas in Action and Habitat for Humanity help as well.

Thanks for response. The resources in their county is very limited to none. Very sad.

No it is to low on ground. Sealing is not an option. Pipes most be wrapped to keep pipes from freezing. When temp drops to freezing must let water drip $$$ later.

You might first check with the commission on aging or similar organization in your area for services or financial aid that may be available.

His can be horrible dirty work. Is it possible to seal off the crawl space to prevent freezing without digging under the house?
