My wife is currently at a memory care unit in an ALF. How do I determine which type of facility she should be in?

She suffers from Parkinson's disease and dementia. The level of care they provide is not enough to meet her needs. Where can I get help?

If your wife needs more care than an assisted living facility can provide then she probably needs a nursing home. Talk to someone at the assisted living facility and see if they can refer you to somewhere decent. Get a couple of other referrals from friends and family and make appointments to go and see those facilities as well. Once you've looked at several facilities choose the one you like the best.

Good luck.
