Any suggestions on how to get VA, the county and respite care to take immediate action on our requests for assistance?

93 yr old father in law coming home from 1 week in the hospital, now diagnosed with congestive hear failure, dementia, possible sundowners syndrome, has a catheter & other possible issues. He & my 86 yr old mother in law still take care of their 61 yr old son who has cerebral palsy and is not able to take of himself. Mother in law has her own health issues but seems to think she can handle everything.. They need assistance immediately. VA & the county (county because 61 yr old son has medicare & father in law is VA) are not responding. My husband lives out of area. One priority has now turned into many priorities and we are not getting immediate help. Have no idea who to turn to, to make things happen. Any suggestions? Financially strapped as well

See the Social Worker asap do NOT let them send him home. Get a court order if you have to.

I would start with the discharge planning folks at the hospital where grandpa is. As them to order a home assessment before sending him home.
