My Mom's blood pressure is 92/50 Pulse is 69. Another reading was 85/40 pulse72. What does that mean?

She is 80 years old. Lightheaded was the reason for taking. Using a digital blood pressure checker but she very thin arms which may be giving a false reading.

Call 911 and while you wait for the EMT's have your mother lie down immediately so the heart can pump the blood to all parts of the body.

Please keep us posted! And yes, if she is on hospice, call them with the numbers. Otherwise it is a 911 call!

What I mean is, while yes, if you have thin arms, you may need a pediatric cuff, bp that low in an elderly person who is feeling light-headed warrants a call to 911 so that emts can evaluate.

Agree with Pam, thin arms don't really enter into this. Call 911.

Unless she is on Hospice, those numbers warrant a call to the paramedics.
