Should I use wipes on elderly lady on non bath days?

Bookluvr gave you terrific advice. Temperature is often a problem. Make sure the air temp is comfortable and the wipes aren't cold and they should work fine. They are a real blessing so that keeping a loved one reasonably clean isn't such a battle.

I've used a warmer and while it's a great idea in theory I found that the wipes cooled down the second they left the warmer. We're talking in seconds. I also found that they weren't very moist.

Not impressed with the warmer.

Lotion Baths are Great (along with personal parts cleaned daily with soap and water to keep down infection.)

I have read of people warming up the wipes via the microwave. As for me, I use wipes on my dad. The govt caregivers come 4 x week to give him a thorough sponge bath. What I do is I turn off the air con because it's cold. I have handy a thick towel in case he's still cold because the air is still cold from the air con - even if it is off. I then go the bathroom and run the Shower water. I find that it gets hot faster than the sink faucet. I make it a little bit warmer than lukewarm - because the wipes are cold - even though I keep it in the bedroom with no air con. As soon as I'm done with the water, I pour in a capful of the No-Rinse Wash. I quickly clean him. When I'm dipping the wipes into the bowl of water, I can feel when the water is no longer warm. So, I quickly rush to the bathroom, turn on the shower's hot water, and re-fill the container. I then continue wiping him down.

Mama has never had dry skin in her life, but the last couple of years she has developed it ....maybe she was just better at putting on lotion than I was...anyway, on days in between her home aid baths, I started using her lotion as the only soap I used, except on her bottom....that warm water with a little dot of her good lotion on the cloth seemed to work wonders for keeping her skin soft and smooth. and the wipes are a lifesaver for sure.
