Is there a difference between coconut oil and coconut water?

EXPERT Carol Bradley Bursack, CDSGF May 2014
They are different. Coconut water has a sweet, nutty taste and contains easily digested carbohydrate in the form of sugar and electrolytes.coconut water is a clear liquid in the fruit’s center that is tapped from young, green coconuts. Coconut oil has a saturated fat called lauric acid, a type of MCT. It's been shown in some studies that lauric acid increases the good HDL cholesterol in the blood to help improve cholesterol ratio levels. So, which one is the one for you? Depends on the results you are looking for.
Take care,
Carol

Thank you, Carol. My wife is Vietnamese, has Alzheimer's, and is in a nursing home. She enjoys Coconut water a lot. I'm trying the different added flavors with her. So far, so good.
