Stealing 100s of thousand of dollars by the court appointed bank and medical guardian. What do we do?

The court appointed bank, in the Glenview area has, and is spending 10s of thousands of dollars ever month on legal fees. They have full control of millions of dollars of real estate, and his cash for over 19 months now and have not rented out a single unit. It is, as if there goal is to spend all his cash as fast as possible. The bank along with his medical guardian, (that was hired by the family) barred all family, put a restraining order on one. This medical guardian lock up this person on a locked unit as fast as he could. He and his "nursing business" is charging 5K a month, while the family member is locked up. This nurse and bank is mention several times on the web site probatesharks. The family sought out help because this elderly family ask for help from us and his son to find out where about 350K went. We found out that his circle of friends wrote checks and made one wire transfer for over a 150K These friends were able to get onto all his bank accounts. They took advantage of his state of mind. Where do we go for help. We have little to no money to fight the bank and this medical guardian.

Mike, put the factual details in the form of a letter with dates/names/events and send it to the Illinois state attorney generals' office. Bear in mind you must have firsthand information and present FACTS not things you heard from other people, nor opinions, just the factual details. I hope you are not being led astray by someone's emotional overreactions.

Legal fees for what?

What are the circumstances of the person in need of guardianship and what is his relationship to you?

Guardians are not hired, they are appointed by a Judge. Banks do not bar access, Judges do. Guardians do not lock people up, the courts order confinement. You need to get the facts, someone is feeding you fodder.

What exactly is your role and who are "you"? What standing do you have to represent the family?

I sense there's a lot of history here as to why the court appointed a bank (presumably as financial advisor) and what role the family retained medical guardian played in the whole situation.

When you refer to a "locked unit", do you mean a mental facility? Does the individual in question in fact have mental issues?

There are a lot of unanswered questions as to the players, what precipitated the apparent "lock-up", what role and rights the family have, if any, and your own role.
