My Mom (95) cannot seem to push out even a soft stool. What can we do?

We can see the stool, it's soft, but she can't push it out.

Enemeez (used to be called Therevac) or CEO-two might work.

My boss's wife has Alzheimer's and there are times when she cannot push out a bowel movement. I know this will sound gross, but what my boss does he puts on a latex glove, and if he can see the stool he gently helps it along as he feels there are no other options when this happens. You'll need to check with your Mom's doctor for other suggestions.

But if the stool is soft already, I'm confused... Some people get constipated and then they have soft/runny stool, from being backed up like a see-saw effect.
Lots of water, and Movement some Exercise if even a little, seated mostly (or is she bed-bound?) I agree magnesium is good, dunno about dulcolax if she has a soft stool - that one is not as natural I think but yeah - maybe Benefiber,

Magnesium, 400 mg. by mouth 2 or 3 X a day should help & also Dulcolax 100 mg. 2 X a day by mouth with a LOT of water will help.
I am an R.N., who works with this all the time. These are over the counter & no prescription is needed. Natural...it works.
