When to exercise the power of attorney?

pamstegma Jan 2014
You have to read the paperwork for the specifics. Sit down and read your POA and read your state laws as well. Generally you are to act in accordance with the wishes of your mother and not receive any funds from her. If she has been declared incompetent or is in a coma you sign documents on her behalf. You use your own signature and write "Power of Attorney" after it.
