Daily schedule for mother-in-law with Alzheimer's?

Does anyone have a template/tool and or strategy for developing a schedule from morning till evening for elderly? My mother in law lives with our family in her own living qtrs. As her AS progresses and other issues that we need to monitor closely, diet, meds, etc., I need a tool for her to be able to navigate through her day.

Hello koolaidemom, the link below talks about Activities at Home for people living with Alzheimer's in addition the document gives a sample of 3 people who are in a special care unit, that you can compare the differences and similarities. http://www.alz.org/georgia/documents/activities_for_people_with_dementia.pdf

To find more options I did a Google Search on Activities Schedule for Alzheimer's Patient

Is there a senior center that she could go to? They have many different activities throughout the day.

You might visit a memory care assisted living facility. Ask them for their schedule. They typically have a daily and a weekly. Do you expect you MIL to follow the schedule on her own or are you looking for things to guide you in her care? Generally, routines work well for those with memory care issues.
