Is there a DVD player that is easy for a person with dementia to use?

My dad lives in AL. He has moderate dementia and can no longer learn new things. However, he thinks wants to watch DVDs. He had a dvd player before he moved here, but it was outdated and complex.

I tried to find a TV that had a DVD player built in, but we were not able to find one and bought him a TV without DVD player.

So, I need to know if anyone knows of a simple (as few buttons as possible) DVD player I can set up for him.

Do you think he'd be able to handle a portable DVD player? It might be easier if he has something he can actually handle and hold. I know it gets extremely difficult for a person with dementia to make sense of the buttons and dials and switching from TV to DVD, etc. So maybe the small type that he could set on his lap would be possible?

You might try searching for DVD PLAYER FOR CHILDREN. See if any of those choices might work for him.
