My mom & dad have been married for 59 years. They love each other very much and things like this have never bothered them. Yes she wants him in the room or one of us girls (her daughters). We actually all help her to calm down when being changed. The nursing home allowed us to be in the room for the last 4 months and now insist that we are not allowed in the room!!!
