What do you do when a senior refuses to bathe?

doesnt someone have to give them bath or shower ? what can happen if someone reports that they dont clean there self

Funny enough, they also might not be bathing so much because it hurts for them to get in and out of the tub, or they would be afraid of falling in the shower stall. Have accommodation been made yet? (Bars on the wall, chair on the floor, non-slip rugs...)

SUSAN:

Try some incentives. Scented candles, bath oil beads, maybe a Buddhist or Gregorian chant. As s/he soaks in the warm water the gentle tide will do the rest. It's a spiritual experience designed to make him/her want to bathe again.
