My mother has a burning sensation when she urinates. She has been checked by a doctor and there is no infection. What could it be?

When that happens to me it's because I'm not drinking enough fluids. My urologist told me that it doesn't take much for the ureter to be irritated, so when that happens I start hitting the water or whatever and it clears up. And yes, cranberry juice does work. ha
