My mother drinks a 12 pack a day, has not been to the doctor in 42 years and now wets the bed. Her feet and hands are swollen. What do I do?

IJoanie20,
I'm assuming the 12 pack is an alcohol beverage. Would she distinguish the difference if you filled a 12 pack with water or tea or another beverage she likes? I would cut back on the intake of salt. If she doesn't show an improvement within a week I would get her to a Dr. Good Luck,,Dane

How old is she? Can you take her to doctor to be checked out? It could be some kind of edema, which is serious. Please take charge and let us know what happens. We care.
